Google Search Console Launch Checklist for HostWebReview.com

Use this sequence after the final HTTPS site is public. Complete the technical checks first, then submit a small priority set to Google and monitor what the rendered pages actually show.

Phase 1: final pre-indexing checks

  1. Open the site publicly.Remove maintenance mode, passwords, staging restrictions, and temporary firewall rules.
  2. Allow indexing. In Settings → Reading, confirm “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is unchecked.
  3. Run the HostWebReview rendered-site audit. In HostWebReview Site settings, check priority URLs for HTTP 200, one H1, canonical, meta description, JSON-LD, editorial image, and no accidental noindex.
  4. Validate internal navigation.Confirm every priority page is reachable from a hub, all CTA links work, and consolidated legacy URLs resolve through one permanent redirect.
  5. Verify commercial facts.Recheck official provider prices, terms, refund conditions, source URLs, disclosures, and affiliate destinations.
  6. Test mobile and performance.Check the homepage, Best Hosting page, reviews hub, pricing hub, one review, one comparison, and each interactive tool on a real mobile viewport.

Phase 2: Search Console setup

  1. Verify the domain property.Use the DNS-based domain property so both hostname variants and all protocols are included.
  2. Submit the canonical sitemap.Submit /wp-sitemap.xml only after it contains canonical, indexable URLs and excludes utility and redirected pages.
  3. Inspect the homepage.Use URL Inspection to confirm the live page is available, indexable, mobile-readable, and declares the intended canonical.
  4. Inspect the priority pages.Request indexing once for the final versions below. Repeated requests do not replace crawlable internal links or a valid sitemap.

Priority inspection set

Phase 3: first 30 days

TimingReviewAction threshold
Days 1–3Sitemap read, homepage crawl, robots, server errors, selected canonical.Correct blocking or canonical errors before requesting more URLs.
Week 1Priority-page index status, rendered mobile content, structured-data warnings.Fix genuine errors; do not rewrite pages only because indexing is still pending.
Weeks 2–3Queries and pages beginning to receive impressions.Record unexpected long-tail queries and improve only when the existing page can answer them without changing intent.
Week 4Indexed-page trend, impressions, clicks, CTR, average position, affiliate clicks, and crawl issues.Prioritize pages already earning impressions in positions 10–50 before creating near-duplicate content.

Launch evidence record

  • Save the launch date and sitemap-submission date.
  • Record which URLs were manually inspected and requested.
  • Keep screenshots of serious indexing or schema errors until resolved.
  • Log substantive page changes rather than refreshing dates for cosmetic edits.
  • Do not claim rankings, speed, uptime, or support results that were not measured.
