Visual testing methodology
How HostWebReview should test hosting before final verdicts.
This is the testing workflow to complete with real dates, methods, and measured results after launch.
Record the exact plan, billing term, promo price, renewal price, domain cost, and add-ons.
Document setup difficulty, SSL, dashboard clarity, and first-login experience.
Use the same lightweight theme, starter plugins, image sizes, and test content.
Record support responses, Lighthouse/PageSpeed results, and key limitations.
Refresh the recommendation, choose/avoid notes, and pricing last-checked date.

Our Hosting Test Sites
First-hand hosting testing is planned; current reviews rely on official sources and clearly labeled editorial assessment.
Repeatable protocol
What must be documented before a hands-on claim is published
| Evidence area | Required record | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase | Exact provider, plan, term, purchase date, amount charged, taxes, and selected add-ons | One checkout cannot represent every visitor, currency, or promotion. |
| WordPress setup | Theme, plugins, SSL, caching, sample content, and setup steps | Configuration differences can materially change results. |
| Account workflow | Original redacted screenshots and dated notes for dashboard, backups, email, and migration tools | Interfaces and plan availability can change. |
| Support | Channel, question, timestamps, response, usefulness, and resolution | One interaction cannot establish universal support quality. |
| Performance | Tool, location, device profile, dates, sample size, median, variability, and test-page configuration | No fastest-host or uptime conclusion from a small sample. |
